Project 344 is a high-end renovation and extension that thoughtfully reimagines an existing character home into a refined contemporary residence. Retaining the charm and architectural integrity of the original structure, the design introduces a seamless new addition that enhances natural light, spatial flow and liveability.
Careful attention was given to material selection, detailing and performance, ensuring the home not only looks beautiful but functions exceptionally well. The result is a cohesive blend of heritage character and modern sophistication, a home that respects its past while delivering comfort, efficiency and timeless appeal for the future.
Constructing new pile foundations alongside a heritage home required extreme care to avoid vibration or movement that could compromise the existing structure. This was overcome through staged works, temporary support, and low-vibration installation methods that protected the original building throughout construction.
Integrating modern construction with the existing character home also presented structural and detailing complexities. Through thorough investigation, careful engineering design and thoughtfully planned connection points, the new extension was seamlessly tied into the original structure, strengthening performance while preserving the home’s architectural integrity.
Bespoke custom-designed joinery throughout, carefully detailed to bridge the character of the original home with the clean lines of the contemporary extension.
Discreet structural integration that strengthens the home while preserving its heritage detailing.
